Tech Tip: Installation | How do I Attach LumaFilm to the Ceiling or Wall?

Tech Tip: Ingress Protection Ratings

Lighting manufacturers commonly provide IP, or Ingress Protection ratings for light fixtures, for example “IP65.” IP stands for “Ingress Protection” and provides an indication of an electrical device’s ability to protect electronics inside an enclosure from water and solids. This device could be a light, electrical box or your smartphone. IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) develops these tests and establishes a rating system.

Human Centric Lighting

While in New York City earlier this month I had the opportunity to sit in on a lecture put on by our partners, New York Digital, in NYC. The speakers, Mariana Figueiro, Ph.D., Director Lighting Research Center at RPI and Mark Rea, Ph.D., Director, Lighting Research Center at RPI did a great job of presenting the data behind claims about the impact of light on the human body.
